Project Overview
The final module of Level 4 focused on independent work. It gave me the chance to take full creative control, which pushed me to step up and build something from scratch.
I chose to create my own bouldering gym brand called Cling. The aim was to develop a complete identity that I could advertise, so I designed a full set of mockups to bring the concept to life. This included merchandise, climbing essentials like shoes and chalk bags, an app design, posters, and even a social media presence.
Below, you’ll find a sneak peek at the mockups along with my full brand presentation for the module.

Project Summary
I have learned a lot during this uni module through building my climbing brand, creating adverts for Durham, and developing my knowledge in my spare time by reading and watching YouTube videos.
Because of the extra research I did, I was able to bring more strategic thinking into the design of my logo mark. I made sure it wasn’t just a standalone symbol but something that could work as part of a full brand identity — including brand patterns and other visual elements.
This approach helped me build on what I learned in my previous identity project with Healthy Hogg. I used more strategy and research this time, which gave my work a stronger foundation and made the designs feel more thoughtful and connected across all parts of the brand.
During this time, I also learned how to use After Effects and Adobe Express to create the video animation parts of the adverts, which added a new dynamic element to my projects. I am excited to develop my skills in these further to add to both Durham work, Uni projects and branding projects.
This supports me in evidencing KSBs: K1, K3, K15, S1, S2, S3, S4, S7, S9, S16, B1, B2.
